Get a birds-eye view of all the action from our private mezzanine area. This area provides standing room to mingle pre-show and during interval, as well as raised seating at the front to enjoy the show. You’ll have table service for the duration of the show and can choose between pre-booking your drinks or putting down a bar tab.
Larger groups can get in touch to discuss bespoke options including reserving a section or booking an exclusive performance.

The Grand Electric shimmied her way onto the Sydney theatre scene in January 2023, grabbing headlines with three back-to-back sell-out seasons of Blanc de Blanc Encore. Ideally situated on the edge of Surry Hills and Redfern and masterfully styled with original Parisian murals by Max Elbourne, our unique and versatile venue is suitable for a whole host of events.

The elegant indoor bar offers a great selection of wine, beer, champagne and signature cocktails while the art-filled courtyard bar gives guests a space to mingle.
The Grand Electric Bar offers a range of casual bar snacks (potato chips, pretzels etc). For events requiring more a substantial food offering, canapé catering can be arranged.

Driving
The Grand Electric is located in Surry Hills where there is limited street parking available. The nearest streets with street parking are Pitt Street (2 hour parking until 10pm every day) and George Street (unlimited after 5pm and on weekends). There are disabled parking bays at 103-109 George Street and 10 Pitt Street. The nearest parking garage is Wilson Parking – 55 Holt St Surry Hills, which is an 10 minute walk.
Yes but conditions apply. General Admission bookings of more than 10 people on a Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday will receive a 10% discount on their booking which will automatically be applied at checkout. Certain dates and ticket types can be booked online, even for groups. Alternatively, you can book for your group by completing the Booking Form and a member of the team will be in touch within 1-3 business days.
Yes. For large group bookings, seats will be reserved so your party is sat together. Please contact us in advance if you have made separate bookings but would like to be sat together, or arrival early and speak to venue staff. Section seating at The Grand Electric is first-come-first-served so notify us in advance to avoid any disappointment. Email grandelectric@strutnfret.com
Yes. Please speak to venue staff upon arrival to set up a bar tab for your nominated amount. You will be required to leave a credit card with staff, which will be charged and returned at the end of the night.
